Insights Fixes

TotalCloud allow you to remediate failed Insights in real-time, using Fix workflows

This means that every time a failed Insight is detected, it can be fixed without any other intervention.

You can also set up automated JIRA tickets to be created and closed when the Insights checks fail, and are fixed. More on that here.

Setting Up The Fixes

Ensure that you have adopted the Insights in the required Accounts and Regions (find out how to do that here). The page will look like this:

  • Click on the Link Fix button next to the Insight that needs a fix attached

  • Suggested Fix is the one that TotalCloud recommends. If that is not available, you can choose any of the workflows in your account as a fix.

  • Link Fix will ensure that the fix runs every time the Insight is refreshed

  • Link And Run Fix will ensure that the Fix is linked, and that it runs now

  • Options also allows you to:

    • Edit an existing fix in the Editor

    • Remove a fix

    • And allow the Fix to auto run - this means that it will run every time an Insight is refreshed (if disabled, you will have to click the Run Fix button manually)

Running the fix

Once the Fix runs when an issue is detected, and the problem is remediated, it will update the status:

Clicking on the fixed button shows you the other options for the fix:

  • Run Now allows you to run the fix again

  • History allows you to see the execution history of the fix

  • Configure fix allows you make changes to the fix, opening the same modal that was present when you linked the fix initially
